Provided by YP.comI absolutely LOVE Le Shag! So much has moved to the kingston area and salons are certainly not lacking! We recently decided to take the plunge and move upstate full time. After searching through MANY salons, i finally found my fit. I absolutely love Le Shag and all of the stylist in it. It gave me so much more confidence to take the step to full time residency in this little city. Jennifer travels back and forth to NYC (seems regular) and is on the pulse of trends, helping to keep the edginess to the salon. I have yet to see anything else like it upstate. I had my hair done by Jennifer the first time I visited- it was absolutely AMAZING. Because of Jennifers NYC schedule my style has been maintained by her well trained (by Jennifer) colleagues, Kara and Bree, who have done a fantastic job at keeping it up! There are several salons uptown but this is the only one for me, it made my move slightly easier and I hope it does the same for you!!!

Provided by YPmobilePlease excuse the negative comments written below. They were written several years ago now and I'm shocked they are still there. They were submitted by an angry former employee and his, then, girlfriend. He and I are again friends, she is probably out there antagonizing some other business with her negativity. My salon, in addition to several salons in Kingston, became a late alcohol induced target that have been a bruise on my business now for years. It is a type of bullying that I wish did not exist but does. When using online reviews as a tool to decide whether or not you should support a local business or restaurant, please consider that ANYONE can write a review on an establishment whether or not they've been there or whether they just have a personal vendetta or even just have had a bad day. And when writing a negative review please at least give the business the opportunity to make it right with you. A small business is someone's lively hood. Something they have put years of blood, sweat, tears, and every ounce of their income into for years and probably will continue to do so for many to come. It's very difficult to own a small business, especially in NY state. We should all be a little more considerate of each other and how our negative words reflect on to society. Most smaller business's do not strive to give you bad service and would most likely prefer to try and make it right. Try talking with them first. Imagine if everyday you went to work your boss did an employee review? Or, just in general, if someone could write a random review about their interaction with you on any given day or moment? How would that make you feel? How creative would you continue to feel? We are all human. We have good days and we have bad. At Le Shag we keep an open door policy for you to return and discuss with is what it is that you are not happy with and we will do everything in our power to make you, as the client and patron who has decided to invest your time and money into our establishment, happy. We want you to be happy- please try to do the same for us.
