Provided by YP.comI've been a patron for 12 years. The past few years I've noticed they're not the same place. Brian (body shop) is great. Mike, (mechanics) has always been too proud to admit fault. But lately he's not on top of customer service. When we call, he says, "Let me ask the mechanic." Information, customer service & results have suffered...mistakes made. Also, they keep telling us whole "systems" need replaced...instead of replacing parts. They said we need a new oil pump. I broke down & took it elsewhere to confirm, since we just spent $2,500 replacing a "system" with them. The next place (didn't tell why I brought it in) told me it needed seals & gaskets...not a $1,500 oil pump. Saved me a lot...not buying another "system." They take LONGER to complete the work. They don't remember to reset service lights...even with reminded. I used to think they actually cared about our vehicles & the people who drive them. We're moving on to find a place with 5 stars...Yelp gives them 3!

Provided by YP.comKenneth's was recommended to me by my neighbor right after we moved here just over 2 years ago. However, my cars have been working in top shape since so I admit, I forgot his advice. After my son started driving we've had issues. After hydro-planing off the road he damaged the front end of his car. We went around and received 3 estimates and boy what an eye opener! We settled for the cheapest and have been leery since. When my car was struck in a parking lot I remembered Kenneth's and found out yes they do body work. This is when they came back into mind. They gave me the lowest quote on repairing my car out of all the quotes I received. Then my son blew a head gasket. This time Kenneth's was my first and only call. They quoted me after diagnosing the gasket and once complete, they came in right at their quote (+tax of course). I have a high degree of confidence in the repair and they will be my go to car shop as long as I live here. Thanks for the customer service and job well done!

Provided by YP.comI'm not writing to impune or demean the integrity of this company, but just the facts of my experience. I brought my 86 chevy motorhome in twice this year and, the most recent dropoff to have the following repaired, replaced and troubleshooted or tested:
1.Carb adjustment
2.Timing adjustment
3.Vacuum lines
4.Horn
5.Exhaust manifold welded/repaired
6.Governor plate gasket leak on transmission
Well, when I brought it in I relayed to Kevin at the front desk the following things I needed fixed. When I picked up I didn't see any of those things listed on the invoice for except the carb adjustment, timing, and the exhaust manifold. So, I asked Kevin to explain what they did and he was reading off some other notes and told me that they specifically had replaced the gasket for the governor plate and sealed the leak.
Finally, the bill totaled $570.00 basically to weld the emission holes on the exhaust because, I paid for them to do the timing, carb adjustment, and vacuum repair/re-routing on the first invoice from my previous visit. When I talked to Mike he told me that they didn't do the repair and that it was a misunderstanding. It wasn't my misunderstanding, I told him because, Kevin told me the work they had performed. Also, the Check Engine light stays on and it wasn't before. He said I would have to bring it in to replace the gasket on the governor plate and, it would probably cost me about a hundred bucks maybe less. I told them that if they was going to patch it I could do it myself. And I might add that we discussed the cost of replacing the exhaust manifolds verses repairing them and I could of bought new exhaust manifolds for about $250. for the pair but, I had trouble locating the exact fit for sure. My main concern is not the price necessarily, but the principle that I was told it was fixed, and now I have to pay additional cost and bring it back again to have them fix the engine light which, I will have to pay for that was previously turning off. They were supposed to tie off the old emission wiring to keep the engine light from making a contact and showing an error. So, they didn't complete the job. The engine seems to be running properly but, there does seem to be a minor exhaust leak persisting but not real noticable till you accelerate. The Mechanics do seem to be knowledgable and know how to fabricate and repair. I wish they would of stood behind their own words and finished the job as I was told!

Provided by YP.comI have used Kenneth's since 1993 and highly recommend Kenneth's to all my family and friends for both mechanical and body work. They have earned our repeat business. I have found them to be very reliable, expert and practical in their service and advise/recommendations. Please note I have no personal, professional or economic ties to Kenneth's. I recommend them because I believe they have proven they are trustworthy and the Kingwood community needs to know who they can trust their car to.

Provided by YP.comRecently decided to take my Windstar mini-van to Kenneth's on the recommendation of a neighbor. The back-up sensors have not worked in quite some time despite several Kingwood area shops charging for repairs that either didn't work or didn't last along with calling me mid-repair to tell me I needed a tune-up!!!!!!! "A tune-up? what? I thought I wanted my back-up sensors fixed!". I called Mike at Kenneth's and was told I could bring my van in the following day. I went in the next morning, checked in the van and decided to try and wait on the repair. After sitting there awhile one thing I noticed was the lack of the typical cheesy "marketing" attitudes most repair shops tend to have, fake smiles and catch words like "free" or "lifetime warranty". Mike seemed to be very straightforward, professional and honest with the customers and I never heard him try to "sell" anything while I sat there silently observing, I thought to myself, "how weird is this? you mean to tell me they actually fix what needs fixed, charge for it and stand behind the repair?" Anyway, an hour went by and I was informed that there was a loose connection at one of the sensors, they renewed the connection and the system was functioning. The repair only cost me about $100 and it's been working great for several weeks now. If you need your car repaired and expect to pay a reasonable price then go to Kenneth's, you will only get what you (your car) needs.
