I had walked in an notice how I already felt like at home and then I stepped further in and noticed how the layout was. The shop had a very comfortable setting, in it each room gave you a different understanding of the shop's purpose. There was a room I believed upstairs that hosted various antiques, in my own words I would say it looked like a collectors renaissance. There was also a room for building the frames for the art, also tools of the trade measuring tables, frame cutters, and etc. The lady that was working is also one of the owners she was framing a portrait for a client of hers. Michelle is her name (Micky) known by friends and family was putting final touches on the project , I've also noticed she is an home/business, exterior/interior decorator and Michelle's network transitions throughout North Carolina (Raleigh) and California. I was amazed with the tricks and the trades for this shop. This place could mature into also hosting a place to conduct business, book club meetings, coffee house, social clubs, or a place of study an peace of mind. For whom ever that pass through Kinston , NC should stop by House of Art with questions about art, decorating and hosting events.
