Ive gone to this nail salon a few times and one time they had a guy doing pedicures with a runny nose and the water was not hot. I decided to give the salon another try and again the water was pretty cool when it should be hot, the pedicure was ok not the best -very quick - then I asked if I could get a manicure - and while the guy was clipping my cuticles - I realized that he was over clipping as I don't have cuticles because Ive always gotten acrylics and with all the years of buzzing I've no longer got cuticles-then he started to dig under my nails and left my right thumb pretty sore - I did tell him to stop because I'd had black polish on and it wasn't dirt. He seemed highly irritated. Then I said he rubbed lotion on my hands for what was maybe half a min on each hand and that was it! I then said "Wow that was a short massage" and he replied "What do you want an hour?" and I said "No but that was very short" and I then said I didn't want to continue with the manicure - but I was forced to pay in full and left without any polish and a low quality manicure. The attitude of the this man all most workers in the salon was terrible. GO somewhere else!

I went to this salon on 4 different occasions. The first visit was nice. I went for a manicure having decided not to have acrylic nails anymore. The lady gave me a very nice manicure and suggested a gel polish to reinforce the strength of my nails. The second and third visit went well. The gentleman that attended me was very professional. I had a pedicure and a manicure and it went well. I had regular nail polish. Last week I went in for the same, a manicure and a pedicure. The man that attended me (first time with this technician) he was extremely quiet to the point that I asked two questions and he didn't answer, even though he told me to pick out a color polish. I thought it might be a language barrier so I let it go. When told to pick a color I indicated I wanted french and he said nothing. He never offered the option of gel, never mentioned additional charges for french. I noticed they did't have the price list on the wall but since I was just getting the very basic of manicures and pedicures I just didn't think it would be such a difference.
When he finished he stated the price was $42.00. When I stated that it should be $30.00 (12 for the manicure and 20 for the pedicure) he suddenly became fluent and indicated that since I had requested french, it was $5.00 extra for the manicure and $5.00 extra for the pedicure. I asked him why he didn't tell me before starting and he didn't answer. I then told him had he mentioned that I would have opted to have a gel polish in a solid color for the same price difference.
I paid, gave him a $5.00 tip and left.
The next day I washed my hair as normal and when I finished I noticed that the polish had literally fallen off three of the nails on my right hand and 2 of my nails on my left hand. I drove over to the salon to show them and ask that they be fixed. The lady, (apparently she's in charge) promptly got defensive and said if I wanted them fixed it would be an additional $10.00. She said I should have gotten gel because regular polish is no good. I asked if all their clients had their regular polish fall of in 20 hours (the time since the finished my nails) and she said no but that regular polish was no good. I pointed out he had not offered me any options or suggestions and also that I only learned about the additional "french" charge after he had finished. She said she would repaint my nails in gel for $15.00. I refused but pointed out that I would be sure to give her a negative review. She then opted to re-polish the nails that had lost their polish.
For the past 9 years I had been going to a nail salon over at Eagle Ridge and never had any problems with the services or the prices. I was merely trying to find a place closer to home and also use the locals. I will NOT be going back to this nail salon. I feel bad for the gentleman that is very professional and very competent. But I felt that the bad outweighs the good. It then hit me that the missing price list is a mechanism that allows them to charge whatever they want. Wen I called to ask if I could go in the lady told me $12 for a manicure and $20 for the pedicure. I asked if that included polish and she said yes. There was never any mention of an additional charge for french. I feel they need to inform. Also the fact that the polish fell off, completely, makes me think they are probably watering down their polishes with acetone or something that caused it to peel off like it did.
Beware when you go to this salon. Get the prices verbally and loudly stated before they do anything. Clients beware!
