Moved to the neighborhood 2 yrs ago (in 2012). Walked into Melao and was almost immediately reminded that I was not in Burger King and could not have it my way. All I wanted was to substitute one item with another. Very rude, horrible customer service. The manager refused to address the issue with me. Needless to say, I walked out and have not gone back until today (only because I keep seeing commercials and was curious). SO!!! I walk in today, order my food after 25 minutes (there were only a few people ahead of me) because they have NO organization behind the counter, no system or signs telling the customers where to order. When I received my order, the food (which was freshly made cause it was a special order) was cold, my soda was hot, the vegetables came out of a can, the young lady that handed me my food was VERY snotty and the restaurant was overall dirty. Before leaving I ordered some pastry's because they looked tasty (not as good as they looked) when I got home, I noticed that 4 out of 5 of the items that I ordered were wrong. I drove back there, informed the girl at the register of the mistake and she & 2 other servers were more interesed in "who made the mistake" instead of correcting it and getting me on my way. In addition, they wanted me to pay an additional $1.50 because there was a price difference. I agreed to pay the difference if they agreed to pay for my gas for having to come back. They called it a day.... Food is good but not great. Certainly not worth the aggrevation.... Food Is Over Priced....

Can't beat this latin family owned bakery, breakfast (everything but pancakes) and lunch from the best sandwich to a wow! mofongo with carne frita.
Don't miss out on this experience. Just remember to look out for the entrance at Boggy Creek Rd to your right if coming from John Young Pkwy and just a mile up on your right. Stadium plaza. Enjoy!
