Have been banking here for 10+ years. Today I tried to deposit a check made out to Estate of... from my mother. I had called the branch multiple times last week, and it went from automated answering to hanging up. Told the branch manager as much, and she said they were extremely busy last week. Called the 800 # and was told I needed a death certificate , which I brought and my mom's will stating I was her heir. I had all the necessary information and more. The manager told me she could not deposit check and told me to have reissued by health insurance company in my mom's name or my name. It was for $200.00. I left, and had an idea to go to Amscot, which they called insurance company, and I was able to cash check for a $8.00 fee, which I thought was well worth it. I think I should bank at Amscot. Seriously thinking of withdrawing my accounts and looking at other banks.
