While returning home from a 3000 mile road trip with our fifth-wheel we heard a thump and saw something black fly by the passenger side window. I pulled over to check for a problem but didn't see anything obvious, no weird noises, and the truck was running okay. It was 20 miles to Kit Carson so we decided to check more thoroughly there (closer to civilization). It turned out that an idler pulley had decided to leave the truck and damage the serpentine belt at the same time. Jeremy of Walt's Service came down to the vacant lot where we had parked and confirmed our problem and said that he'd be able to fix it--all he had to do was take a 50 mile round trip to get the necessary parts. He told us where we could get a good lunch while he was gone. When he returned, he got us down the road without gouging us for the parts or labor for our emergency repair. Pretty nice for being the only mechanic in town. I highly recommend.
