Al's knowledge, experience and work ethic are evident in his high quality work. His kind, matter-of-fact demeanor are very reassuring. We've had to call Tradewinds in two "emergency" situations and Al was right on time with the wonderful service we've come to expect!

Al is the best HVAC person ever! He was able to quickly figure out what was wrong and got it fixed! There should be no choice in A/C or heat work, if you need work done, definately trust that Al will get it done, and get it done right. I would recommend Tradewinds to anyone!

They installed a heat pump for me and serviced an existing unit. Very honest, fair and reasonable. I highly recommend this company.

I am going to tell you what... Tradewinds Heating and Cooling LLC, Mr. Al DeMatteo is probably the best HVAC person here on the beach. I've called him twice since he installed my AC and he has been quick to respond. First time nothing was wrong with the AC. Turned out it was the hot water heater thermostat that had a meltdown. Stinky electrical smoke smell all through the house. (And this was on a Sunday morning)

He is a professional at what he does and I know I can count on him. Please consider Tradewinds Heating and Cooling if you need a new HVAC or service.

Al came out on.a Sunday. Service call rate was very reasonable and part price unbelievably low.

I have had great expereinces with Tradewinds Heating and Cooling. I have to say Al has been there every time I have called and he came right out to my home is quick as the same day I called him.His customer service is fantastic.



His technical knowledge is second to none !! He really knows what he is doing. I have a home warrenty and they continued to send out technicians from Sears Service to fix my AC. And every time I have had to call Al up to come and clean up their mess. I finally told my home warrenty company not to send out Sears anymore and that I only want to deal with Tradewinds. I fully recommend them to anyone who needs a repair for their heating or cooling system.

Al is absolutely first rate. He has done several jobs for us and for friends. We have had a unit replaced, another one repaired, tubing and ducts rewired in our attic, and he has completed work on a rental home we own. Al is completely trustworthy, priced very reasonably (definately cheaper than a "do-it-yourselfer" can do on his own), on time, fast response - same day or next, friendly with family and pets, and he took care to ensure he didn't track dirt into the house. Al has also helped a friend over the phone to fix a problem that didn't require a specialist, many would never do that.



If you want an honest, professional, and personable man working in your home, Al is the one you want. Being a small business owner, he has his own personal reputation on the line every time he completes a job and he has proven that he is knowledgable and reliable.

Al helped us with an addition on our house, and was spot-on with all his quotes, and how the job would go. Al has a great work ethic, and show's up when he say's he will. Al even talked me through how to fix an after-hour emergency over the phone, and called back the next day to see if everything was OK.

Tradewinds is always just a phone call away. We were vacationing down in the Outer Banks 3 years ago and noted the air was not working. One phone call was made and we were able to talk directly to Al, the owner, and he was out to assist within the hour. Within 2 hours we were cool again and well assured that the problem was temporarily fixed but a new unit was needed. We were confident in Al's knowledge and felt no need for further advise or assistance. The job was done in a timely manner and many problems from the previous installer were corrected.

I had a problem with my air conditioning system in the hottest part of the summer. I had 2 other companies come out and recommend total replacement of my entire system. I called Al at Tradewinds, he came out and found a low voltage electrical problem, repaired it and did a full system checkup. My ac has worked seamlessly since then and he saved me a boatload of money! This guy is someone you can trust!
