I took my truck in before Christmas, 2014, as a Christmas gift from my best friend. The truck would only go 25 mph for about a year because vandals put dirt in the tank. The tank was dropped and the dirt discovered, and removed about a year ago. Since then, I could not pay for the other vandalism of a broken steering column plus a replacement of a fuel filter. So, for Christmas, that was friend's gift. It cost $ 560.90. I finally, after three weeks of having to walk everywhere, got my truck. It did not even make it home. I ended up stranded down the street at the store. They came out and gave me a jump. I was able to get it home. Due to work, I did not start it the next day. I started it on 01/9, after getting stranded down the street within 20 minutes of retrieval from Darrow's on 01/07. When I tried to start the truck this morning, it would not stay on. Again, the battery was depleted. My friend helped me and we discovered a very serious gas leak
spurting--spewing gasoline out of the carburetor. Why? No idea. I paid for a fuel filter replacement. After speaking with a representative at Darrow's, he was very hesitant to take any responsibility for my now- inoperable truck. He cussed at me. He does not want to pay for a tow. He claimed that he would take care of it IF he had any responsibility, otherwise I will have to pay for the tow and the extra work. I do not trust this automotive institution. I do not approve of my truck being in that shop for nearly three weeks, only to get it returned to me inoperable and dangerously so. This is outrageous. He was not repentant, sentimental, understanding--instead he blamed me for the fuel leak that did not exist before I left it there. I am very disappointed, and quite frankly, I am disgusted with his handling of my fuel-spilling condition of my now-inoperable vehicle. I am stranded, and all he cares about is getting money. I cannot believe that they would
not know that the fuel was spurting before telling me that they fixed the truck! I t is spewing all over the engine, and falling onto the ground.... So, he blamed ME!!!!!!! What in the world?????? Are you kidding me? This is outrageous!! I am NOT taking my truck to that dishonest, money-hungry, irresponsible and dangerous mechanic again. I have warned you. I do not know why he is behaving this way, but I am used to doing business with reputable, conscientious, responsible mechanics. not know that the fuel was spurting before telling me that they fixed the truck! This is the only place our family takes our business!! They do good work at a good price. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and customer service. Thanks Brian and Ryan
