Love going out and not having to worry about gunshots or fights. Love even more being able to take my lady out without someone grabbing her ass or trying to grind up on her. For a fun place to go, without all the foolishness that is found in most clubs nowadays, this is an awesome place!!! Thank you guys for keeping this bar safe and fun!!!

ask anyone that ISNT white about BAR knoxville. I saw a black guy minding his own business getting beat down by bouncers and cops in front of WENDYS because his shorts were baggy. BEWARE!!!

Horrible

If you like weak drinks, bar employees molesting you, people going through your purse while you aren't looking, security harassing and profiling you and enjoy people slipping ruffies in your drink then this is the place for you. It's full of all kinds of fratboys and skanks. I had a horrible night.

Racial Profiling Should Be A Crime

Bar Knoxville is notorious for profiling its crowd based on skin color. On several occasions my friends and I have been told our clothes were too baggy (even if they aren't) 'so go home and change,' or turned away at the door because our shirts are plain in color? I've yet to realize why a plain color t-shirt matters? Anyone remotely current in African American culture knows that plain t-shirts don't matter anymore and are not in connection with gang violence like they used to be back in the 90's. Colors of Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green can be found just as easily in the Lacoste polo section of your local department store, as they can in the Fruit of the Loom plain t-shirt section at Wal-Mart. And if I am being checked by security as well upon entrance, why would it matter how comfortably my clothes fit? Yes comfortably; I will speak on the behalf of ALL my friends when I say that I would rather just stay home than to go out in these skin tight, punk rock inspired, ripped jeans or an outfit that is more suitable for a yachting expedition than a night out on the town. One could hide a weapon just as easily in a $400 Ralph Lauren Sport Jacket, than a baggy pair of jeans, correct?

It is amazing to me that Bar Knoxville has the audacity to play the popular music of the young African-American Hip-Hop culture, and not allow the people who make it popular to frequent the club? Honestly, it seems quite stupid and hypocritical to me...

It is extremely obvious to even the simplest minds that Bar Knoxville forms it's rules of entry based on the disapproval of the style of African-American fashion culture.

No excessively baggy clothing.

No Long Chains.

No Attitudes?

And then there could also be the fact that a bouncer (who shall remain nameless) at the front checking my I.D. decided the N-Word was appropriate to use to refer to my friends and I in 2008...

Not enough info to deter you from supporting this night club with your hard earned money?

Well watered down, over priced well drinks is what you will find served to the 21 and older crowd. Not to mention an average wait time of over 45 minutes to even order a drink. Finally a bouncer came and poured my drink after my friend's white girlfriend had to throw ice at one of the bartenders to gain his attention. As if the 20 dollar bill waiving in the air every time eye contact was made with him wasn't enough.

So come check it out! See for yourself! It is the premier place to be on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night if you are into Hip-Hop music, but harbor a hatred towards the African-American race and you are fond of terrible service and bouncers grabbing you up, forcing you to tuck your shirt in.

If you like to have fun in an environment where you can find a real melting pot of people who enjoy good music and having a good time releasing some of the stress from your work or school life, this is NOT the place to go!

Please don't support a business that treats people unfairly based on the color of their skin. This is the first step of many to changing the world...
