David Bayer is someone I wish I'd never called. He failed to give me an estimate of the time the work might start, he ignored my emails or gave me very curt answers; he turned the job over to the young worker and there seemed to be little communication between the two about the job. Many issues arose which cost me money because of his failure to communicate and when I paid the invoice, I informed him of my displeasure and gave the reasons why. He then began damage control. I was informed he would work to resolve any issues but when I asked for a small reimbursement for the bales of straw we ended up buying and applying ourselves, his overcharge for straw and for my having to pull weeds/grass all over the beds because of so little straw coverage, 3 days later he emailed, "We have applied all additional pine straw especially around the newer planting as promised." I was the one who planted that straw and no one ever showed up for we were home. He's dishonest and unprofessional.
