18 year member. Liked it better years ago. Pros: clean, provide towels, shower gel, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, updated locker rooms and showers/bath, and a lot of the aerobic machines have their own TV so one is able to watch exactly what one wishes. Cons: Don't have the usual machines one would expect. Have unusual machines, over the years, many I really like have been taken out, due to, in their words, "can't get parts", which I then say, buy new ones. The machines I like that are disappearing fit a woman's body better. The newer ones are malecentric, even taking into account making adjustments. The women's locker room staff, turns off the lighting in the makeup area and leave empty cans of deodorant, and, the controls for the individual TV's don't work well. I have addressed all of my issues with management, but nothing changes. Why am I still here? It's close to my job and convenient to me.

I have been a member of FSHFC for years. I have had fitness evaluations, personnel have taught me to use equipment in the gym, I have worked with a personal trainer for several years both in the gym and in the pool. I have visited other gyms in town. This is by far the best and cleanest with the most professional staff in Knoxville.

Terrible

The staff is very unfriendly, especially the aquatics staff. I payed money to participate in an aquatics class and was mistreated by the instructors. The management is not very helpful. The building is also old and is falling apart. I expected better from a "five star" club. I give it 1 star.

I have been a member for many ...

I have been a member for many years. I enjoy the pools and I did enjoy the kids' facilities. But recently I have not been as satisfied. The TV is always on at kid fit, come on! Are kids supposed to watch TV with a beautiful blue sky? If I pay a membership to include my children, I want them to have fun time and at my house TV is not a fun activity. Even though instructors are knowledgeable, there is this small town mentality that everything new or different is scary! People, get out of Knoxville once in a while and explore! I quit going to spin class because the music was so bad! Overall, it is OK and I will probably keep my membership. In the same time, I am exploring some other venues.
