I don't know how theyre still in business. I got charged for a diagnostic, which should have been done to begin with. They came back with my car saying "i don't know whats wrong but were going to charge you anyways" and bring your car back so we can waste more of your time and money. Don't go to them. They're inexperienced have little knowledge on BMWs and Benz. If you're dealing with them, make sure you work out a price IN WRITING BEFORE YOU HAND OVER YOUR KEYS!! Thieves and liars. I should've read the reviews before I took my car there

If you want to have your car damaged then this is the place to go. If you want the owner Steve Gillespie is behave completely unapologetically for his actions, to make excuses for the damage they have done to your car and ultimately be out thousands of dollars this is the place to go.



In March 2015 we took our 2010 Subaru Outback in for a basic head gasket repair. After over a week of having the vehicle it was returned. With in 2 weeks it was leaking oil from the side of the head, we took it back and Gillespie told us he replaced that gasket again. Two weeks later it was still leaking so again we took it back and we were told he used an anaerobic sealant because the gasket wasn't working correctly.



Fast forward 5 months, our car starts over heating again. It is almost immediately obvious that it is being caused again by bad head gaskets. At this point we have moved across the country to WA and the car has overheated on the interstate with my two kids inside.



We take it to a Subaru shop to be inspected to find out that

1. The Head Bolts were not even tightened correctly

2. The Head had been improperly resurfaced and was NOT level

3. Someone had actually but a substantial gouge in the block

4. That the Head gaskets used were NOT the right part

5. That the continuously leaking oil was caused by a PAPER gasket



We got full documentation of everything, a full write up and pictures. We spent over a week and a half trying to ask Gillespie to right his VERY obvious wrong. We spent another 3,300 dollars to fix our car only 5 months after having paid Gillespie 2,200 dollars. Despite their obvious WRONG DOING, despite the damage they caused on the car, despite putting my family at risk by not repairing it correctly, and despite causing a huge financial burden for our family Steve Gillespie had ZERO apologies. He refused to fully acknowledge what they had done wrong, he was condensing, rude and apparently talking about car issues is "Mumb O Jumbo"



Bottom line this shop is unethical, they will rip you off and they will make zero apologies for it.

Extremely unethical business people. I was given a $1500 repair estimate. As a college student I can't afford this so I call my mother who says to take my car to the BMW dealership and get their opinion. When I told the woman at the front that I wished to pay for my diagnostic and take the car for a second opinion she told me my bill was $200. I had been told a diagnostic was only $90. She then explained that when I have repairs done by them I will be credited for half of the $200. Mind you, my car is in their shop and up on their rack this entire time, so the implicit suggestion in her exorbitant price is that I won't get my car back unless I pay the new price that she quoted as punishment for my wanting a second opinion. I felt like I was in 'Goodfellas' or something! She and I went back and forth raising our voices and finally she yelled "I'm not charging you the $200, I'm only charging you $100". She started to apologize when she realized I wouldn't be taken advantage of. A truly enlightening experience on how some people actually operate. I have filed a complaint with BBB. The most unpleasant and head-scratching experience I have ever had as a consumer, that people actually feel it is ok to behave that way. They should be out of business!

This place is where I am takin...

This place is where I am taking my vehicles for now on. My car had an issue accelerating on the highway. So I took it to a dealership not once but twice and they couldn't get it right and still charged me a ton of money. I took my car to Gillespie and they diagnosed it correctly the first time. It was a very complicated engine repair and they gave me a fair price. The car runs better now than it ever did.



(on a side note). No mechanic just like a doctor gets everything right all the time. These other few reviews are just p.o'd people leaving a review because happy customers usually don't take time to leave reviews. I do because I owe them one. They have been great to me.

They cheated me on the price and charged me lot of money for doing a bad job!!!!!!

Additionally they did a wrong diagnosis on my car, just to press additionally MONEY out of me. They charge a lot of money for a bad job!

Got ripped off by them. I trie...

Got ripped off by them. I tried to search online for reviews before I went there but found nothing. I then decided to give it a try. Unfortunately I got ripped off by them. Very bad waiting environment and terrible service. Got my car for two days and still couldn't fix it. Yet charged me $$$ for doing nothing. Will never go there again. I hope other people can find the useful info here before they go there!

Simply the worst shop ever!!! Shameless people there!!! They cheated me on the price and charged me three times of the money what a dealership would only even charge. I talked to them several times. They first promised to refund me partially and asked me to wait and wait. I called them numerous times but still did not get my money back. Now they just refused to answer my call. Have been to some bad repair shops before but this Gillespie Import Service is simply the worst one and most shameless one. NEVER GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
