The wastewater treatment plant is a part of The City of Kokomo. It operates seven departments, including administration, pretreatment, laboratory, plant operations, plant maintenance, sewer maintenance and biodiesel. The plant treats nearly 23.5 million gallons per day of all dry weather sewage transported by the collection system. It provides treatment methods such as inspections, as a result of a citizen complaint or emergency stoppage, reports from cleaning crews or reports from inspection/survey crews. The City of Kokomo has approximately 300 miles of sewer lines.
