Amazingly different experience from previous reviewer. I needed the pharmacy to call back to Boston (5 hours time difference) to get CVS's authorization for refill of an urgently -needed bronchial inhaler. They tried patiently, twice, on long hold times, but did get through and I had my prescription filled in 1 1/2 hours. The pharmacist could not have been more helpful.

I wish i.could give negative stars. First they did not have my son's prescription ready even though is was called in the day before. Then the tech was rude when asking if I had already picked it up, I assumed she meant from them and I said no. She had meant from my local pharmacy at home and proceeded to treat me as if I was seeking narcotics. I was picking up antibiotics for my 8 year old. She got an override from the insurance company and then told me it would be $25. I asked why it was 5 times more than usual and the pharmacist came over and speaking down to me told me if they had not gotten the override it would be over $200 (that was a lie. It was $117) then the tech told me it was because they had to get an override and my insurance must be charging me more. When I got on the phone with my insurance company and explained to the pharmacy tech (while on hold) that I am a medical assistant and have gotten these overrides for patients many times and I had never heard of is being more expensive she suddenly decided to look into it more. A rep from my insurance picked up and told me it was run for $5 and she had no idea where the extra $20 came from the tech was magically able to charge me $5 and rush through it before any more customers came in.
