Welcome to the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University. We are a folklife center that preserves and promotes the Pennsylvania Dutch culture and its traditions. The PGCHC provides family-friendly events year-round as well as tours by appointment and educational opportunities, and is an integral part of Kutztown University’s Pennsylvania German Minor Program. The Heritage Center is also proud to publish the only international Pennsylvania Dutch language newspaper, Hiwwe wie Driwwe, and is home to the Kutztown Community Garden and The Heritage Center Kitchen Garden. The Heritage Center Library, the heart of the center for genealogical and historical research, holds hundreds of resources; and our library volunteers are eager to help you find your ancestors.
