Since its inception in 1995, EntrePure Industries, Inc has been engaged in the business of manufacturing, installing, owning and operating self-service purified water and ice vending machines ( kiosks ) under the trade name "Avant Premium Water and Ice." It is the strategy of the company to install these machines in areas of the country that have a combination of poor tap water quality, dense population, moderate to high growth rates and an established purified water buying market. We currently have 136 Avant machines installed and in service in the Rio Grande Valley and the Houston area. We manufacture the machines ourselves in South Texas, which ensures that the machines are manufactured with the best components available. Considerable capital, time, and effort have been invested in developing these units. During the initial design phase, we studied the existing purified water market and then designed the Avant machine to be more convenient and have more features ( see the AVANT Advantage ) than our competition. In the beginning of 2004, we began to see another tremendous competitive advantage could be gained through a more modular, flexible kiosk design that would give us more opportunities to expand our business, while still maintaining or enhancing the same high standards and quality our customers have come to expect. Out of that process came our new Modular Kiosk System ( the MKS ). We have completed production of over 80 new MKS units to date.
