Service date 8/13/12. I had water dripping off the bottom of my water heater, enough that it needed attention - I wasn't sure if it was failing (i.e. rusting through the bottom) and needed replacement. I called Mark Kolecke, who was recommended through a friend. He took my work schedule into account (I commute by Metra into the city) and came to my house very early in the morning to diagnose the problem. He had all supplies with him to fix it - he relaced the valve on the water heater with a high quality brass valve with easy shut-off bar handle. Much easier to use than the old plastic round handle that had to be twisted. Best of all, he explained what he was doing as he went along. I really appreciated his honesty and skill and reasonable cost - the repair still holds today and I will definitely call him next time I need plumbing work done.

I needed emergency service to fix broken water valves. I called several plumbers with fancy sites and 24/7 advertising. Not one called me back and Mark was the only one. He fixed the problem in 20 minutes, walked me through his work. I know a little about fix it stuff so I can vouch for his work.

mark kolecke plumbing has done many jobs in my home and every one of them has turned out great. Mostly it's been repair work, sump pump, garbage disposal, etc, but Mark is quick, prompt, talented, and honest. He will be the guy i call when i gut and re-do my bathroom in a couple of years. you won't be sorry if you call mark kolecke plumbing.
