Founded in 1996, the Bluebonnet Trails Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center was certified by the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation in 1997. The center serves the counties of Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee, Williamson, Gonzales and Guadalupe in Texas. It has contract with the Texas Interagency Council on Early Childhood Intervention to provide early childhood intervention services to children with developmental disabilities up to the age of three. The center treats children, adolescents and adults with serious mental illnesses, emotional disorders, autism and pervasive developmental disorders. The Bluebonnet Trails Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center has work force of more than 300 employees and maintains a location in La Grange, Texas.
