Dr. Hattangadi-Gluth serves as Chief of the Central Nervous System (CNS) Tumor and Liver Tumor Services. A graduate from Duke University in 2001, she received degrees in Biochemistry (BS) and Economics. She was a Fulbright Scholar from 2002-2003, doing public health research on HIV/AIDS in Botswana (Southern Africa). Dr. Hattangadi-Gluth received her MD from Harvard Medical School in 2007, and from 2004-2005 did a Doris Duke Research Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed residency training in Radiation Oncology in 2012 at the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program in Boston, MA--a joint program among Brigham and Womens Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Childrens Hospital of Boston, and Boston Medical Center. She joins the Division of Clinical and Translational Research and is involved in a variety of research activities including outcomes research, investigator-initiated clinical trials and national cooperative group studies. Her primary CNS tumor research interests include novel radiation planning for malignant gliomas, the use of functional MRI in radiation planning and monitoring radiation response, and quality of life after radiation therapy. Her primary liver tumor research interests include stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for primary and metastatic liver tumors. Dr. Hattangadi-Gluth is happily married to Todd, a corporate tax attorney, and they have 2 young children.
