Allguard has been my agent for several years. I noticed that every year my premium goes up so I decided to shop around and found a much better deal.

I gave 2 weeks notice to cancel my policy with Allguard and emailed my cancelation letter to Bud. I also called to verify that he received it. He said he would send it to Mercury. But 3 weeks later, I notice that new renewal premiums were deducted from my checking account.

I cancelled with plenty of notice, my policy was already paid in full. I never heard back from Bud when I contacted him for an immediate refund. So, I called Mercury myself.

Mercury confirmed that Bud did not send in my request to cancel the insurance and this is why I was charged for the renewal when it came due. Mercury also said that if Bud would have emailed my request to them when I sent it (or even within the week), all of this would have been avoided. Now I must wait 2-3 weeks for refund check in mail.

Bud is unprofessional and I do not recommend his agency.
