Ordered to go, called in told me 25 to 30 min. So I got there and paid. It was already sitting there. Plus I ordered 2 rolls and they put them in the same container. I asked for extra wasbi- they gave me maybe a teaspoon in a little black container. I received no soy sauce--no napkins or utensils. So not real happy.

One of our favorite sushi places in town! Really good sushi, teriyaki bowls and drinks. Great happy hour specials on appetizers, food, and drinks. We like sitting on the patio, especially around the fire pit. It is nice knowing Banbu is family owned. Overall great place is you like yummy sushi rolls and teriyaki bowls.

I love this place during their happy hour is not expensive, the sushi is really good, the ambiance is nice and friendly, I recommend this restaurant.

We go here on the happy hour days and load up on rolls. We enjoy going to eat here but if it’s not happy hour you’re looking a good meal for two with rolls and drink. After eating here over the last year we go to other sushi places nearby us and none compare to the taste freshness and quality.

My husband and I went there for the second time last night and we both thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. I am giving this place 5 stars would like to give them more but that is not an option.

For what they give you, the respectable portion sizes and the quality of the food, the prices are quite reasonable.

Because it is located in the Grossmont area, I did not expect a classy Sushi place like this. I ordered a main course and they gave me a soup AND salad. The food was amazing and the service was excellent!

I enjoyed the couple of sushi rolls i've eaten there. I absolutely love all of their other stuff - at least what I've sampled. For instance, the hibachi steaks are awesome! I also loved my sashimi appetizer and shrimp.

This place has great atmosphere, great food, and great sushi. I will definitely come back for more superb service!

Banbu sushi is an excellent sushi restaurant. Great food and great quality. Servers are great too Had an excellent experience with Michael. He greeted us with a smile and gave us great service all through out our meal. If you get a chance ask to have him serve you, you will not be disappointed.

Their fried rice is fantastic, as are their other warm dishes it is a great place to take a wonderful girl out!

I'm not really big on sushi, but a friend insisted that I try their rolls. It wasn't bad, I actually really liked it. She may have converted me with this place. Most sushi eater wouldn't consider what I had as sushi because it was a deep fried roll, but I liked it. Definitely will come back to try some of the other menu items.

This place is great, cost is pretty cheap but the quality is excellent. I love the hamachi tastes like butter it's fantastic, the red Dragon roll is great and so is the Kobe beef roll. I will definitely be going here again.

My new favorite place to meet friends for Happy Hour. I'm always down that way, so great central location and parking good. Sushi tasty with plenty of other options. Fun atmosphere, and Love the fire pit outside.

This is pretty good sushi. Came here during happy hour on Monday with my hubby and a couple friends. Everyone was really nice to us and the food was great. We'll be coming back.

Great food the food was great. Tried the Banbu Roll and the Teriyaki Bowl, both came out cooked just the way I had imagined.

This place is awesome. Came here on vacation and loved it! Must try the Melrose Roll....UHMAZING. I will be coming back for my next vacation.

Great food and nice place to take your love ones. The food here is so delicious, and anyone who’s hungry should go here first.

The sushi has always been great. For a while, I just ordered sushi to go because I love to enjoy it in the comfort of my own home. . I think they've figured out how to move things along better. Much happier now!

Go there just for the Garlic Edamame. It is the best I've ever had. The sushi is also wonderful. Highly recommended!!!!!!
