Buyer Beware.



I purchased a commercial policy with the expressed interest in a uber policy included. The agent who was very nice and I though helpful told me what I needed to do to get uber coverage. I did everything that the very nice agent recommend. She came up with 2 quotes but failed to inform me that one of the quotes did not cover uber. :( I not knowing took the lower quote but didn't know that I was purchasing a policy that I couldn't use. Why would the agent offer me something I didn't need unless she just wanted the commission.



This is where everything gets worse. The agent told me that " I made this abundantly clear and you opted for the lower quote that did not allow Uber."

I wasn't mad until that statement. I can only guess that they sold me something I didn't need just to make the commission. After telling the agent that I couldn't use that insurance she got really defensive and said that she wouldn't help me find a new policy. At that point I was on my own.



After complaining to management and asking for the at least the commission to be returned the manager informed me that was not going to happen.



I have to admit some fault for not doing my due diligence and asking if it included uber or not. I did not, but the agent offering insurance without uber coverage is either ignorance or unethical. All I wanted from them was the $250 commission for them to save face.
