Provided by YPmobileNestled deep in a beautiful residential area this park is long and narrow with a flowing man made creek down the center that continues down the street past the park trailing several beautiful ranch homes. The west end rests against ranches filled with horses that are ran regularly along the length of a trail that parallels the park. Gorgeous homes run the length on one side and many have animals in their private yards you can look at while wandering including miniature ponies, alpaca's, turkeys, roosters, chickens, dogs and cats. Ducks and squirrels are plentiful in this park and you can see the new babies ever spring.
There are usually people here at all times the park is open and everyone that we have come across is friendly and pleasant. Plenty of bridges and places to rest in shade as well as wide open sunny parts.
We take are littlest one here and she loves it with all the animals, almost zoo like. There are no jungle gyms or particular areas for little ones to wear themselves out and if you are not constantly watching your little one the creek and rocks near the creek could be potentially dangerous.
Overall if you are looking for a peaceful place to walk, ride, run or rest this is a great park to do it in.

This was Scruffy Squirrel. He (or she?) lived happily in beautiful La Mirada Creek Park, in La Mirada California. He was always happy to see me and many others who walked through the park each day. In his short life he (or she) never harmed or threatened anyone, but brought happiness to many people.
However, now Scruffy is rotting in his den, POISONED by the city of La Mirada. The rest of his family and friends are also dead. Walking by the area where he used to joyfully romp brings sorrow at his absence. The stench of death and flies that hung in the air for many days are now gone, but the park is a grim and lonely place without him and his friends. He is missed by many.
Should you feel the same as I do about this, here is how to let them know how you feel !
These people at the city need to know that people care, and really appreciate being around cute little animals in a natural setting.
