I went to Ponderosa Pizza in La Pine at about 2:30 pm. Having been doing landscape work on my property all day without a break I was hot, thirsty, and hungry. I went in and ordered a small Hawaiian pizza (add onions) and a pitcher of Coors light. An elderly lady took my order and questioned whether I was having a companion share the pitcher of beer. I told her I was alone and had no intent on sharing it with anybody. She then informed me she was prohibited from serving me anything but a mug of beer (which she called a pint). Anybody knows that a pitcher of beer is equal to 4 pints (12 ounces) of beer, which is not an excessive amount of beer. I told her to cancel my order and went somewhere else where I was able to order a hamburger and my pitcher of Coors light. I will not be returning to Ponderosa in the future because I am 64 years old and no longer answer to my mother, let alone someone in a pizza parlor acting like her. I would encourage anyone else who dislikes Big Brother (or Sister) telling them how to live their life to avoid the eatery. Go somewhere else where they understand that they work for you, not vice versa. I can understand any establishment refusing to serve anybody alcohol beverages when they are obviously inebriated but it is absolutely ludicrous to refuse service to anyone who is stone cold sober. I knew Oregon had a lot of progressive liberals who are control freaks, but such behavior is undeniably unacceptable.

I am a local and If you are in the mood for the freshest & best pizza in town go to Ponderosa. It has been here for a long time. And i shouldent forget to mention they also have some dang good chicken and jojos too.
