Makeup - $45 for a makeup trial. $100 for on-site application. I said "natural tones, not too much makeup." I don't think this girl had ever applied makeup before in her life. She laid the foundation on really heavy. Gave me a coral/pink lip color (definitely not natural looking) and no lip liner or anything, the lip color was running by the end of the trial. She put on really heavy blush and a dark brown eye shadow. She then proceeded to put on mascara, and by "put on" i mean she held out the wand and told me to blink over and over. She got mascara on both cheeks, did not try to wipe off. My eyebrows looked like two very different caterpillars. To finish everything off, oh wait, she didn't. There was no setting spray/powder or anything to set the makeup, and I was 100% embarrassed to even walk out of the salon. I immediately went home and washed my face. Needless to say I did my own makeup on the day of.

Hair - $100 per girl for on-location updo. Silly me did not do a hair trial (based on the make up I really should have, however I wasn't planning on having her do my hair, only a few of the bridesmaids). The girl shows up with a brush, a comb, hair spray and a curling iron. I had her do hair for 3 bridesmaids. By the time she was working on the third girl, the first girls hair was completely falling out. All three girl's hair was flat and far from the photo shown (knowing it wouldn't be exact) but the girl didn't even bring a teasing comb. She also jabbed two of my girls in the head with bobby pins.... bobby pins go in hair, not skull. One girl was bleeding. THANK GOD one of my bridesmaids is a hair stylist... she ended up having to redo on of my bridesmaids hair completely after the PAID FOR stylist left. What a nightmare.

The only salon in Laplata that offers Facials. best facial i had in years. Friendly staff and very well kept and clean.
