My grandma went here to get a trim. They offered to blow dry her hair, and then burned it really badly. Some of my grandmothers hair fell out and she had to go to someone else to get a second hair cut to cut off the burned hair. The people here totally destroyed her hair. I feel so bad for her.

This was such an awful experience. My sister went to Salon Eight Four for a consult with Leddy. She asked to go blonde, and showed Leddy a picture of exactly what she wanted, which was a light blonde color that was slightly darker at the roots, that would gradually become lighter throughout the rest of her hair (balayage). My sister asked how many sittings it would take to achieve the color she wanted, and Leddy said it would take one 2 hour sitting. Leddy assured my sister that she was familiar with the process. During the actual appointment, Leddy ripped out a piece of hair that left my sister’s scalp bleeding. Later, when my sister asked a polite question about the process and what step Leddy was working on, Leddy became angry and defensive. At this point, we realized that she was not doing what my sister asked for at all. Instead of a gradual lightening, there were blocks of bleach beginning half an inch from the scalp. In light of this (and our discomfort at Letty’s appalling lack of professionalism), my sister decided to leave before any more damage could be done. At this point, Letty became even more hostile, implying my sister was stupid for for having questioned the process. My sister asked how much it would be for what she had done so far. Letty demanded $220, $50 more than the previously agreed upon price of $130-$170, despite performing less than 10% of the service. This experience was beyond disappointing. I would give it zero stars if I could.
