Joan was the one that gave me same day appointment. She was very nice and friendly and cut my hair just they way I like it. Atmosphere was very pleasant and clean. For sure I would recommend her to my family and friends.....thanks Joan!!

I finally found my hair salon! I appreciated the way Sophia listened to what I wanted, took into account my hair type and lifestyle, and gave me a cut that has gotten me many compliments. I'm extremely pleased and plan to stay with this salon. They also cut my daughter's long hair in a flattering style and suggested gentle highlights that add a little zip. I also observed the owner cutting an older lady's hair with great care and respect, with great results. So I'd say they have all the age groups covered: mature to youthful hair.

They also pamper you with coffee, snacks and a free massage chair while you wait. Who could ask for more???

Went to the salon a few weeks ago to get a keritin treatment done. I was told by the stylest that it would last anywhere from 3 to 5 months. Ok great. The stylest sophia decided without telling me, the product she was using only last up to 12 weeks. She never used that product before, so couldnt answer any questions about it. And come to find out it wasnt a keritin treatment. Its only been about 3 weeks and already my hair has returned to being frizzy. Very unhappy.

I have been going to Sonya for over 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else to get my hair cut. Her salon is very clean and well kept. She and all of her staff are friendly. The most important thing to her is a happy customer and she always goes out of her way to make sure that is the end result. Sonya is the best!

I have been a client of Sonya for 17 years. She always does an excellent job. I don't have to explain much to her -- she just seems to know what to do with my hair. She give excellent advice to help me save money and protect my hair from damage from over processing.



I'm not sure how she does it, but somehow Sony's hair styling makes me look younger than I am. I have been carded for lottery tickets twice in the past year and I am nowhere near 18 anymore! I also get many compliments from coworkers and friends every time I go to Sonya.

This is a beautiful solon with a friendly and capable staff. I live in Seattle but I go out of my way to have Sonya cut my hair whenever possible. She does a great job for a very reasonalbe price. I wouild recommend her services to anyone.

I’ve used this stylist for almost 20 years now and have never found her to have any problems with understanding English. I would have to guess the person who wrote this review is a mush mouth mullet wearing moron who looked hideous in the first place. She was probably a customer of “A Cut Above” to begin with. Sonya has always taken the extra effort to listen to her customer’s wishes and has always gone the extra mile to make sure that customer feels they have gotten best value for their money. Sonya is so highly sought after that her appointment book and her styling chair is always full. She is without a doubt the best of the best in her profession.

The Salon is clean , friendly and all the operators are experienced and talented. The price is worth every penny , since it is done right the first time ..... I have always left with a smile on my face , thank you for the great service , sincerly Isabelle

I went here to get my hair colored and cut and asked the owner to color my hair a dark brown fully and then put blond highlights in it. When it came to the coloring she did not listen to me and put brown and blond highlights in my hair, then on top of it, when she cut my hair i asked for long bangs and short layers and got really short bangs and long layers. The woman that cut my hair was very rude and had a hard time speaking good english, which is why I think she ____ up my hair. I will not be using this salon ever again.

This place is horrible, the hair stylist (sonya) I hired to do my hair on my wedding day did not show. I was so upset, not only did I have to do my own hair for my wedding day but it made me late for my own photos. She really messed up my big day and I would not reccomend this place to anyone Ever!!!!!
