Provided by YP.comI called my insurance company to find out where I was covered (Aetna HMO) as I'm from Pa. they recommended this place.
I went there with alot of right knee pain and swelling. After the usual 4 pages of paper work and my co pay, my wait was about an hour to get taken to one of the 8 rooms that the patients are placed in for the Dr. to see. I first was seen and questioned by a PA who was very cordial and personable. He verified and questioned when a doubt arose while entering my data.
I saw the Dr., I was surprised as I thought these places only had PA's. You could tell the Dr. was very busy and he got right to diagnosing the knee. He opened the door called for a knee wrap there was a guy there in 30 seconds, wrapped it, explained about pressure and gone in under 2 min. Although I felt an x-ray was needed, the Dr. did not. I actually felt alot better than expected the day after. Prescriptions were written.
I will keep my walks to <5 miles until it is back to regular form.
I do recommend this place for treatment. I have an extensive intensive medical history. They answered my questions and concerns. A wait yes, but I have had alot longer waits. Thank You to the dedicated workers there. A pleasant experience.

Provided by YP.comFast service with little wait time, swift diagnosis and the necessary medicines to get me back on track. Dr. Schroeder was great. Follow up at my doctor I was assured all the right meds were prescribed. I felt better knowing that it would have been a very miserable weekend without making this trip to the clinic.

Provided by YP.comFirstly, I am in NO way connected with this Urgent Care by work, relation, marriage or friendship.
To the dear soul complaining of the lack of call backs regarding prescription medicine renewal . . . sorry for your experience. However, as an adult in your right mind, there comes a time when one must become accountable for one's decisions. If no call backs are forth coming . . . move on to a provider who will give the type of service you seek.
Often it turns out the patient needs to be re-assessed to ensure the medication is working properly (hypertension, diabetes etc.). Patients frequently want the refill without the requisite check up. The provider is on the hook for a poor outcome if no good faith effort was made to check you out and instead just called in a prescription. And unfortunately, if there is a poor outcome, that SAME patient may be one that will throw the provider under the bus for agreeing to cut corners on their care at THEIR request!
Medical care is NOT like Burger King, you will NOT get it your way! Just part of being safe!

Provided by YP.comAfter one unsatisfactory experience with the Lake Regional Urgent Care facility in The Villages I would definitely NOT recommend going there unless you had no other options. Although the initial level of care experienced there was satisfactory, their refusal to make one phone call to an insurance company in order to receive pre-authorization for their prescribed medication resulted in NO MEDICATION BEING OBTAINED!
Their stated policy whereby they will fax information but will NOT make voice phone calls is the basis for my disatisfaction. It would have taken less time to make the requested phone call that it tookfor their staff to repeatedly explain that they do NOT make phone calls, apparently under any circumstances.
After two weeks of trying to get LRUC to make the phone call I have given up and will have to do WITHOUT THE PRESCRIBED MEDICATION!
