Less than NOT GOOD. We walked in and were seated right away. Saturday evening approx 7:15PM 12/8/2012. We were handed menus and asked what we desired to drink. FINE thus far. The waiter came back and asked for our order; we asked for a Quesadilla ( appetizer). His response was would you like it with Chicekn or steak? My reply was just the plain quesadilla , thank you. Then he asked for our order. We both ordered the New City Combo. That is two meats, a salad, bread and a choice of one side. My daughter got the Chicken fingers, and the Sirloin steak with fries as her side. I chose to get the RIbs and the Sirloin with Fries as my side. NO QUESADILLA EVER CAME TO THE TABLE ( that is okay it was not on the bill-even though he acknowledged it during ordering- OH WELL- No salad, No bread. but they could not wait to hand us the check. I took the check up to a man at the register... he was dressed like a manager (older than the wait staff). He asked how things were, and I said I recommend you teach the wait staff what is on one of the combo plates. He asked why, so I explained to him that we got neither a salad nor any bread. He said, HMMM? and continued ringing us up. He took the full price, and then walked to the back room ( as if to hide). We paid the full amt. I do not make a stink in front of other guests... after about5 minutes he came back out of the back room looked at us, and said- is there anything else we can get for you? WELL HECK NO... YOU DIDN' T GIVE US OUR MEAL TO START WITH! He walked away. We discussed the quality of our food... Both of us had COLD french fries... BOTH of us had Lukewarm steaks ( cooked to medium)....I had Cold Ribs... while my daughter had fried chicken fingers that were FRESHLY COOKED and hot. Overall on a 5-star rating... I would give this place a MINUS 5 rating for this evening. Terrible service, terrible management and terrible quality(temperature) of food. I am sure the WAITSTAFF cussed me out- as I left him a tip commensurate with the fact I hate a pocket full of change. He got the 28 cents that I did not desire to put in my pocket.... and that was MORE than they deserved as a team!
