Rea Magnet Wire Company is one of the largest manufacturers of magnet and nonferrous wire products. The company consists of three independently managed and operated divisions: Algonquin Industries, Diversified Products and the Magnet Wire division. All of Rea s facilities are ISO 9001:2000 certified. The company s Lafayette, Ind., plant was the first in North America to achieve ISO 9002 certification. The Magnet Wire division manufactures and markets round and shaped film insulated copper and aluminum magnet wire. The wire produced by the division is used in the manufacture of electric motors, transformers, generators and solenoids. The Diversified Products division s offerings are made up of four product families: high performance conductors, specialty insulated, superconductor and can wire. The Algonquin Industries division takes large diameter wire and manufactures it into magnet wire, electromechanical strip, bus bar and screw machine stock.
