The owner, who was selling Louisiana's "Best" hot sauce (which is more salt than hot) at a premium to its 69-cent store price (and hardly worth that) at the time, was insulted by my comments. However, apparently even Bruce Foods took the complaints seriously, because they later came out with Louisiana Gold, which I discovered at Denny's and was disappointed to find that they wouldn't sell me a bottle.
