I noticed the rodents in this store are kept in very small cages for the quantity of animals. I tried checking out their hamsters and they were so unsocialized that they not only drew blood from the girl showing me, but they were lunging to attack her hand. I noticed the ferrets had fleas and were in dire need of a bath. I had shopped there alot when i was around 16 and the managers/owners use to be very nice, but since ive gotten older not only do they not remember me, but one of them is very rude, sassy, and abnoxious.



I was looking at an animal and saying i couldn't take it because they weren't allowed where i live and i wasnt sure i could afford it anyway, and he was still harrassing me to buy it. He obviously doesn't care about the welfare of the animal, or he wouldn't have tried to push it on someone who can not afford/own it. This animal also had patches of fur missing.



I noticed the prices are also much higher than other pet shops in town, and the animals dont even have a warranty, and if they do, its not consistently honored.(I witnessed them deny my friends return) As much as i hate to say it, Id rather shop at the more mainstream place across the street, because at pets unlimited they are such a small business that they have to harrass/beg you into buying animals, and they cant even assure the animals they sell.

We took our dog to this store to have him groomed and were extremely disappointed with the service. They charge more than the average and the groomer is clearly very inexperienced. Our dog came out after several hours (and more than once being sent back in by my husband) looking a total mess. She had not even trimmed the fur between his pads, the clippering along his back was incredibly uneven, and his ears and rear end were totally ragged. I phoned the shop to complain when my husband brought him home and the man said to bring the dog back and they would do it again, but in the absence of a capable groomer I did not see the point in putting my dog through that again. As I said to the manager, if they are going to employ someone without much experience, they should be charging significantly less for her services.

I have been going to this pet store for about 5 years now. I get all my salt water fish and all of my dog supplies from Pets Unlimited. Their staff are very friendly and very helpful. Those people really know their pets and they seem to have a real connection with myself and other customers! When in Pets Unlimited I have a name and the staff members remember who I am! Pets Unlimited is a great store and I highly recommend it!

There was a man, i believe the manager, and he was the rudest man i ever met in my life. He sold me a sick animal, and when I brought it the next day to return, he told me that they only refund dry food...remember that, because there is no sign. Also, the receipt is misleading by saying you can make returns within ten days with the receipt, which i had, but I was denied the very next day. He also said, if he took it back, and gave me eighty percent *upon sale, not even on the return, that it was a "favor". I'm strongly considering small claims court. He also rudely mocked me the whole time. I really think he was the owner, and just wanted to keep my money, because every other pet store I have been to, said if you are dissatisfied, or the animal is sick or dead, bring it back within thirty days to refund or replace. This guy's just greedy.



Another complaint i had, when i went before, there was a small ten gallon tank in the back, with around thirty to forty mice...that is a cruel way to keep them. Just because they are feeder mice, doesn't mean you have to treat them that way. they are kept in a small almost back closet, out of public view. The chinchillas had nowhere to hop in their cage, and the ferret cage was also small.



I think this is a terrible store and am never returning.
