Petsmart is a great pet shop. There is a huge selection of fish,hamsters,guinea pigs,birds etc. I love when I get a chance to go to petsmart. It's my 1st choice

Grooming. I just picked up my dog for his 3rd bath & shave. He gets one at the begining of every summer. The 2 previous years have been great. This year, I was charged over $20 more than quoted and the groomer "Tiffany" came at him very aggressivly, making him nervious, and then accused him of being aggresive. I also asked her to write a nice "report card" for his scrapbook. When I picked him up, there was nothing but negitive comments on his card and he looks horrible. Everything is uneven, his ears and paws are about 5 different lengths, you can see patches of his skin and razor marks all over his back and stomache, and theres a huge line across the top of his head, and horrible razor hurn all over his bottom. Also, I paid for a tooth brushing, and an ear clean & pluck- neither were done. I'd expect this from a Vet, maybe, but not a "certified" groomer and maybe I just got the one bad groomer. If i had had a good look at him immediatly after he was picked up, there is no way I would have paid! When I tried to speak to the manager, I said very nicely that I was unhappy with the experience and that I am willing to pay today but wanted to let him know I was unhappy. He went and told the groomer everything I said (before I got my dog, so I'd have to deal with her recaction, which I was dreading because she had been so rude and snappy that morning), the manager then came back and said, "well, I'll take $10 off the charge but it doesn't really matter since your never coming back". He then let out a big sign and swiped his manager card, took my money, and said bye. Not a single appology. As I said, every experience before this has been great, and I'd be happy to try other locations, but won't be returning to this one.

I find the management in this store to be very respectful and considerate. I have had some problems with the lower employees and how they take care of the animals, but when i call the managers they get things done about it. I purchased a sick animal from this store, and they had there vets fix her up free of charge. They have an impressive warranty as opposed to some of the smaller businesses who can't afford to offer a warranty.(i had a friend who had a rough time at another pet shop.) The cages are generally clean with a regulated temperature, and the workers are helpful and nice. I'd say it's the best pet shop in Laffayette(and i've been to nearly all of them)
