Tom St. Germain practices in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He has been admitted to practice law in Louisiana since 1997 and was originally admitted to the bar in the State of California in 1993. He is admitted to practice before the state and numerous federal courts in Louisiana, California, and Washington. He has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, and committees in cases under Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13. He has confirmed numerous plans in Chapters 11 and 12 on behalf of debtors, including some cases with debts in excess of $15,000,000.00. He has also represented both plaintiffs and defendants in adversary proceedings involving trustee avoidance actions, dischargeability actions, and other matters. Mr. St. Germain also practices commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including breach of contract, fraud, maritime and construction-related cases. He has tried many cases and prosecuted appeals in state and federal courts. Mr. St. Germain is a magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University (BA, Economics, 1990) and a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles Law School (JD, 1993). He is married, has three children, and spends much of his free time buying and renovating single family houses.
