Ann Christoph Landscape Architect, ASLA, was founded in 1981. The South Laguna firm provides landscape architectural services to a broad range of clients with an emphasis on public and institutional work. Ann Christoph collaborated with landscape architect Frederick M. Lang for more than 20 years through the firm of Lang and Wood ( 1971-1981 ), with their individual offices ( after 1981 ) and with community projects. Her work reflects the philosophy developed through this collaboration--a detailed, individualistic approach to planting design, and a creative incorporation of community and environmental considerations into design solutions. This small, client oriented South Laguna firm has played a key role in the design and planning of many important projects--projects which reflect the interest in and devotion to historic preservation, urban design, environmental preservation and enhancement, and public participation. Ann Christoph has combined work as an educator ( Instructor in Landscape Architecture design and history at Saddleback College and University of California, Irvine ) ; writer ; elected official ; environmental planner and designer to promote and implement sound and creative solutions. Often all of these interests and experiences are drawn upon to produce projects with a sound planning basis, rooted in a support and consensus building process, implemented with precise attention to detail.
