Established in 1925, Laguna Beach County Water District provides water and related services to a large number of residential as well as commercial clients. It has a special engineering department, which provides various development and cross connection services. The district has undertaken several capital projects, such as the San Joaquin Reservoir Solar Bee Installation, Reservoir Chlorinator Units and meter replacements. It sells approximately 4,500 acre feet of water annually, which is imported either from the Colorado River or from Northern California.
