Andes Central Elementary School operates under the Andes Central Schools District 11-1. Located in Lake Andes, S.D., the elementary school offers educational instruction to students in grades kindergarten through six. The school offers a variety of subjects, such as math, reading, spelling and writing. The subjects also include computers, physical education, music, library and Spanish. Additionally, Andes Central Elementary School provides extracurricular and sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball, track and field, wrestling and football. The Andes Central Schools District 11-1 also has a junior and senior high school. It also operates Eagle Pride Alternative High School that was formed in 2000 to offer an alternative form of high school education for the students of the district. Eagle Pride provides an opportunity for the student not succeeding in the traditional classroom to obtain academic credit in an alternative setting.
