Provided by YP.comI had a wonderful experience. I haven't seen any of what people complain about. Some people will complain about the icing if you give them a cake.
Dr. Cole was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain everything and asked repeatedly if I had any questions. He was friendly, expert, and courteous.
The office staff was helpful and efficient. They answered all my questions and assisted me in frame choice and fit. They were very nice to me and professional.
I was told 7-10 days to receive my new glasses, it took 6 days.
In all, I had a wonderful experience and will( and have) refer(red) others to this business.
Kudos to everyone there, and Thank You.

Provided by YP.comTerrible service. Friendly, but the eyeglass fitters do not know what they are doing. I went back several times to attempt to get my glasses right. NO MATTER what, I was told TWO weeks adjustment. Finally, I asked for a refund and was told no. DO NOT GO HERE!

Provided by YP.comWorst place ever has taken over a month and no glasses or money!!! There's no prices on glasses so you have to take her word on the pricing. And will over charge for frames. The lady told my husband's insurance company didn't give him credit for frames but that was a lie...My husband ended up paying $239 for cheap plastic frames.Doctor never called to see why we were so mad BAD Business!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI had a bad experience with this business and would never recommend them. The optician recommended a frame. I questioned her, asking would these work for me. They had nose pads and a straight bridge across the nose. The glasses I had been wearing (and still wear) did not have nose pads or a straight bridge. She assured me that they would work and adjustments would be made.
In addition to a poor recommendation for my shape nose and face, the first set of lenses were wrong. They made that change, and I attempted to wear them for a few weeks. I went back several times for adjustments and the lenses were changed twice more. The problem was not the lenses but the fact that the frame sit so far from my face and the progressive lens then sat too high.
The optician would not make an appointment with me, even though I had to drive 36 miles one way to see her. One time I was told she would be in, and I got there and she was not. Another employee refit the lenses and sent them out. I have wondered if that person is a licensed optician, who can make changes to prescription lenses.
After a few months of total frustration and no way to wear them (I had been wearing progressive for 10 years.) I attempted one more time to see her in person. I called and asked for her to return my phone call. 10 days later, she called and I unfortunately missed the call. When I called her back, of course she was not there.
So I sent her a fax outlining the long experience with her business. I was pleasant in my tone, but she totally misread it, and sent back a very snappy reply:
"I have read your letter and my records are a bit different from yours.
You are correct that your first lenses were transitions which are a more expensive lens that I immediately told you to try and keep at no additional charge if you liked them; or I would change you out into clear lenses if you would like. At your request that is what I did. This was our ONLY mistake.
The progressives were not made incorrectly; they were made to text book fit. You wanted them lower so I, once again, this time at no fault of Cole Optics, remade them for you.
Again at my cost I remade the lenses smaller; not because they were wrong but to make another effort to make you happy. At the time I made it clear that if we made the lenses smaller they would be the same size as the clip-ons.
I did assist you with your selection of frames but you are a paying adult and you make the final frame selection and purchase.
With your bone structure you know the glasses will sit away from your face at the temple, this is why we gave them face form to help accommodate for your features. This is not a disservice; it is a custom fit.
As far as the fit of the clip-ons, they are metal; when you left here they fit; if they do not now they have been altered.
I am not going to choose either of your “options” I have made you a beautiful and functional pair of custom glasses and have accommodated you to the point of feeling like I am being taken advantage of. I will not remake anything else at no charge nor will I refund any monies to you."
This email speaks for itself. Defensive and only focused on the money. Not good business practices or willingness to work something out. The options I presented were to put lenses in my old frames or just refund the whole thing. But as you can see, she was defensive. Cheerfully refunding and accommodating, even if it meant she didn’t make money on my case, is priceless marketing and advertising. There are losses in business, and good business owners know when to do the right thing, and let the rest go.
So I am doing my best to get satisfaction from the $537 I spend. My money, not insurance OR medicare. MY money. But it doesn't matter whose money it was, she did not do the right thing. I reported her to the Consumer Protection of Florida, but they have no jurisdiction.
My recommendation is to find another company to get your prescription filled for eye wear.

Provided by YP.comI went to Cole Optics to get glasses and an eye exam. The service was exceptional. The doctor was very thorough with the eye exam. They had a wide selection of frames, and the prices were fair. The staff was very helpful in helping me with my choice.
