I bought a bearded dragon a week ago and it died three days later. I called and complained and they don't care. I expected a refund or at least a store credit from them for selling me a sick animal. I went back after I brought it home and questioned them about its lazy behavior for two days after I bought it and they said this was normal. I will never buy another pet nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Petco is the place to go!!! Lake City pet sells sick animals and have very bad customer reps they don't care. Do not buy a pet from these people.

I can't to much blame the employees, but I bought a juvenile green basilisk from lake city fl pets and supplies and I spent nearly $200 on his set up, when I purchased him he had been there for a few months by himself, the basilisk was malnourished, extremely under weight, and had the runs, I had a heat and UVB light in his enclosure, large water bowl, cypress bark, and assortions of live plants. As far as I know he didn't eat any invertabre on his own, but I of course took time everyday to force feed him to try to get that weight on him he needed, well three weeks after I bought him he died. I know I did everything right. When I called to get some kind of refund I spoke with the manager, he started blaming me and claiming he was doing fine when I got him, when I started to list all of his symptoms he hung up on me, as a coward would. I concluded that he had an internal parasite after the fact. Although convinced I couldn't bring myself to dissect him to confirm. So I urge you to be cautious when buying any live pet from that store for they might be infected. Sincerely Nate
