Dr. Michael Stagner grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended Wayne State University in Detroit, where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, with distinction. After working as a chemical engineer for nearly a decade, he decided to change careers and attend Creighton University School of Medicine receiving his degree magna cum laude, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He then completed an internship in Internal Medicine, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Following residency in southern Colorado for 3 years, followed by 20 years in Arizona as a solo practitioner. Dr. Stagner moved to New York 3 years ago.
