Was referred to Dr. Eskoz by my dentist for an "Emergency Appointment" because of a toothache. My dentist even printed the xray and gave it to me to take to Dr. Eskoz, telling me I needed a root canal.
The appointment was at 4:00 PM. When I walked in there was a waiting room full of people, some of them in obvioius pain. One pregant woman was even crying in so much pain.
When I was called for my appointment, they took an exray, even though I had one in my hand. They told me it wasn't the same kind as my Dentist took. When they hung it on the light board it look exactly the same.
Then Dr Eskoz comes in, looks at the xray and says "yep, you need a root canal". No Duh!!!!! He then goes on to read from a generic paper brochure discribing the Root Canal proceedure, even though I had already told him that I have had two in past. Then discussion on the cost, which was about $200 more than average but when you're in pain who cares.. What upset me is that I had to wait a week for the actual appointment! This was just a consultation, which was manditory I was told. He charges $120 for the "consultation" and $26 for the xray. This is a scam. Just another way to make more money. I said "are you kidding? I'm in severe pain and I drive all the way here so you can charge me more than a medical dr. and read from a brochure???"
They will not actually treat you on your first visit.
When I was leaving, there were several other people verbally upset in the waiting room and even the husband of the pregnant woman looking like he was going to get violent.

Beware of the consultation!!!! Scam to get more money. In case you're wondering, insurnace covers less than 50% of the "Consultation by Specialist"!!
