One of our favorite places to go for lunch or dinner. Beautiful decor, huge bar, great service!! Owner always says hello & shakes our hand & asks us about our family, work, fishing. Big fans!! Glad you're back in LJ!!!

I was a frequent customer.



On a Friday night, I took a poor seat because it was crowed, I was hungry and alone . Was seated and the maître' d returned and asked if I had a drink order yet. I said no and ordered a beer.



He informed me that the manager told him not to serve me because I was drunk!



Now, I have not had a beer since the last time I ate Mexican food and that was there two weeks prior. I asked to speak to the manager.



I asked the manager why, and he asked me how much have you had to drink!



Of course I had nothing on my breath, clean and sober . I have never drank more than two beers in his establishment and am always an angel. what's your problem ...



After politely telling him good by, forever I realized what the problem was. He is predigest. I didn't realize the emblem on my t-shirt.

He doesn't realize being Mexican is being Indian and has nothing to do with Spain

Good food, great service, reasonable prices. I have never been disappointed with the above, its just too packed at times.

The best thing about La Casona is their crawfish - hot, spicy, and out of the kitchen fast. I'm not a huge fan of their Mexican food as it is all fairly bland. I do love their chips amd salsa (served hot) and chicken soup though. Their rice is good, too. Service is always fast and friendly. Expect a wait during crawfish season on Mondays and Thursdays.
