I recommend to go to Shag Bark Pet Spa.



Last minute party at our home this weekend – The dog smelled awful and I didn’t want to put her in the crate all day. So on google I found Paws for applause. I called the number.



I asked if there was availability & how much would it cost. I asked “Could you help me?”



The response was as follows: “This is Easter. You know. …EEEEaster?. It’s been celebrated for 2000 (that’s 2 thousand) years.”



I sat in confused-silence for probably 2 to 3 seconds and then replied “Okay so does that mean you are not available today?”



The response was “THIS IS OUR BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR”



I re-iterated my question because I didn’t understand why she was angry, she re-iterated her frustration that I asked and didn’t know Easter was a busy weekend.



I told her that her response was “out there” and she said to be sure to put my review on Yelp.



I don’t know who answered the phone. Worker? Owner? Manager? Patron? I hope dogs weren’t treated badly that day. I hope no animal was hurt because the frustration and anger and volume that came from the woman who answered was out of this world.



In any case, I recommend Shag Bark Pet Spa! ( Their number is (847) 395-8476) They were extremely pleasant, patient, friendly and inexpensive.

Paws For Applause is the best! Kathy is very accommodating, knowledgeable and goes the extra mile for your pet. Her prices are outstanding too. If you need a groom or a nail trim she is definitely the one to call.
