George Jenkins High School serves students in grades nine through 12. It employs more than 100 teachers and has an enrollment of over 2,000 students. The school is also approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Its athletics department provides a range of sporting activities, such as basketball, swimming, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, track, weightlifting, wrestling and volleyball. The school also has a guidance department that offers information on scholarship programs and advanced graduation courses. The school has a library that offers more than 20,000 books and over 50 magazines and newspapers. Located in Lakeland, Fla., George Jenkins High School is a part of Polk County Public Schools.
