This is a quiet neighborhood in an "OK" part of town. There is a pool and an older club house in need of remodeling.



The majority of the people are elderly but there are a number of younger people beginning to move in.



There are condo units and townhouse units, all individually owned. Some of the owners rent out their units. Please take it from me, the rent and real estate prices might be inexpensive but you get what you pay for. Please, please, please DON'T RENT OR BUY in Kimberlea!!!



The buildings are old and there are frequent maintenance issues. During my time in Kimberlea, there were at least two instances where my unit was uninhabitable for days at a time. My landlord offered no compensation for this huge inconvenience.



The neighbors? There are exactly four neighbors that I can think of that were genuinely kind to me while I lived there. The rest of them? Nothing but CRANKY, MEAN, NITPICKING, OLD PEOPLE.



I'm sure that there are plenty of decent landlords in this complex, but when I moved out, I learned that my landlords were no different than those mentioned above.



There are many nice apartment complexes in Lakeland, FL. If you are looking to rent, please skip over this one and treat yourself to a location with professional leasing agents and "normal" neighbors that stay out of your business.
