Lakeland High School is one of the leading providers of higher education in the United States. Located in Lakeland, Fla., the school enrolls more than 2,500 students in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and physical education. In addition to its core subjects, the school also offers courses in areas, such as arts and crafts, computer applications, foreign languages, vocal and instrumental music, and technology education. Its students participate in various sports programs, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, soccer, softball, tennis, and track. Activities, clubs, sports are also offered to students, to enable them to learn social skills, and interact with small groups in a nonacademic setting. Lakeland High School also offers a guidance program that includes group and individual counseling.
