The Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation was founded in 1981. The foundation has raised more than $500,000 for Lakeland Regional Heart Center cardiology patients to purchase surgical lasers, defibrillators and operating equipment. It also offers educational programs and grants for research. The Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation also provides services for the Perinatal & Neonatal Intensive Care Units of the Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Additionally, the foundation funds various educational programs through the hospital s interactive TV system, as well as orientation information available to patients in the pediatric and cancer center. It has provided over $25,000 in seed monies to implement several healing arts programs. The Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation is located in Lakeland, Fla.
