Do not answer the phone, ever! I've been trying FOR WEEKS to get them to remove their tank since I have a new company (Suburban Propane) but they have not answered my many, many attempts by phone, fax and email. If I could say minus stars I would.

Lake County Gas is an unethical company to do business with. I was a customer for 10 years and paying slightly more than other customers because I only needed propane for a cooktop. When I received a bill for propane last fall and it was for almost twice as much as other companies (4.79) and others quoted me $2.49-2.79. I went into the office and complained and they said that I could get a community discount and lower my $4.79 to $2.99 a gallon. That was the end of my loyalty. Everyone should be charged the same, with no discounts for a community, or anything else. Every gallon should be the same no matter what.

I just talked to a service representive and they were supposed to refund the amount that I had in my tank at time of pickup. They told me my tank was empty, when it had 24% left. Did the driver that picked up the tank steal what was left? Or where did it go. I had a record that it was left with 24%, so hopefully I'll get the refund. I think that this company are crooks and you shouldn't do business with them.
