I had a 30% off coupon for Payless Tree Service, and their price was the lowest (of 3) but would have been the highest without the coupon. He said it would take them two hours and suggested 10 a.m. Saturday. I made it clear that wouldn't do - I had to leave at 11:30. So he suggested 8:00. I made a clear point that we got up late, so I checked with my wife and was told she would rise early so as to answer them at 8. After that long conversation, the 8:00 appointment had to be very clear. Guess what! My wife got up early, and they showed up at 10:20! It turns out it was a good thing we had to turn them down. They were planning to ground the stumps only to 6" below ground. How was I supposed to plant another tree there if the stump was that close the surface? To make matters worse, the lady insisted that the guy had talked to my wife, and she had told him to come at 10:00 - he never even met my wife!
